鈉鈣玻璃是矽酸鹽玻璃的一種。鈉鈣浮法玻璃是一種性價比較高的中等性能玻璃，但其侷限性在於400-700nm的平均透過率約爲80%，近紅外性能較差。

鈉鈣浮法玻璃是一種相對平整的片狀材料。浮法玻璃是通過將熔融玻璃浮在熔融金屬（通常是錫）牀上而製成的。使用浮法玻璃製造工藝可使整個孔徑表面平整，材料厚度均勻。

鈉鈣浮法玻璃非常適合用於標準的非科學窗口應用，如保護可見的閉路電視攝像頭或用於畫框應用和平板顯示器的窗口。由於透射性能並不重要，它們也是製作光學反射鏡的基板。 板材玻璃有時也被稱爲鈉鈣浮法玻璃，是超過2平方米的大板材，厚度從1mm到20mm不等。玻璃表面可以加工成特殊形狀，表面還可以磨光，以產生擴散效果。表面還可以蝕刻絲網印刷圖案。

鈉鈣玻璃也是製作鋼化或鋼化窗的基材，可提高強度並用於高溫應用。
